Brigadier General Rustam Minnekayev, who commands the Central Military district of Russia, has already announced plans to use Russia’s army to create a land corridor to Crimea, by gaining control of land in eastern and southern Ukraine and in Moldova.

General Minnekayev has remarked that Russia is “at war with the whole world”.
